Additionally, we provide support for groups looking to camp on their cycling adventures. Let our guides carry your gear in our vehicle while you enjoy the trail.

Saturday September 11, 2010 Heritage Hustle 5-K Run and 2-Mile Fun Walk
Saturday, September 11, 2010 9:00 a.m. Slickville, PA (East of Murrysville)
The Course Run or walk on the beautiful Westmoreland Heritage biking trail! Comfortable crushed limestone surface. Out and back course. The first half is a gradual downhill. Fast! The return is &what else? A gradual uphill! Show us what you've got!
Where - Slickville Fire Station in Slickville, Westmoreland County, PA. At Route 819, 4.7 miles north of Route 22 and 3.9 miles south of Route 380. Turn east onto Main Street and you are there. (There is no sign for Main Street, but look for a large blue and gold sign saying, Welcome to Slickville.)
Entry Fee If postmarked by September 4: $15 Race day: $20 Kids 10 and under: $10 anytime (Registration from 8:15 a.m. till 8:45 a.m.) (Sorry, no refunds)
Proceeds--will be used for the maintenance of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail.
Awards Runners: top two male and top two female overall. Also, top two in each age category: 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ The first three walkers to finish will also get an award.
All pre-registered participants age 10 and under will get a medal!

Sunday October 17, 2010 October Fall Foliage Ride Yough River Trail Council - October Fall Foliage Ride will be held on October 17th at Noon.
Registration at Noon, ride the trail as far and as long as wanted, have lunch at 3 in Yough Park.
There are prizes and awards for the race, some prizes only for the ride. For details call 724-628-5500.

Sunday October 03, 2010 to Friday October 08, 2010 Fall Foliage Tour on the Great Allegheny Passage and C & O Canal Fall Foliage Tour on the Great Allegheny Passage and C & O Canal Towpath. October 3rd-8th
Enjoy the trail during the day and a cozy bed each night as we travel through historic towns like Cumberland, Maryland and Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. We'll end the vacation with a bicycle tour of the Mall, memorials, and monuments in Washington DC.
This is a small scale trip. A small group rides fewer miles a day to allow time to take in the scenery and the small towns along the trail, making this trip perfect for cyclists and non-cyclists alike.

This Event Is Not A Race!
After registration, participants can begin biking or walking as much as they wish of The Great Allegheny Passage/Yough River Trail toward Ohiopyle or West Newton. All participants should return to Yough
River Park in Connellsville for the Family Picnic to be held from 3 to 4 PM.
For those who are interested:
A walking "loop" will be offered through the City of Connellsville. This is a 3 mile tour of the Heritage Trail with a tour guide from the Connellsville Cultural Trust. It will begin and end in Yough River Park.
