TrailBook, the recognized "bible" of the trail, is designed to give trail users a site-by-site, mile-by-mile guide to the information they want on the trail and on the businesses and services available. An updated, weatherproof, full-color map is folded into a pocket in the back of the book. It includes 200 pages of trail information, plus maps and information on 15 key trail towns.

Expanded to cover the planned completion of the trail to the Forks of the Ohio in downtown Pittsburgh, plus new information on campsites and amenities along the C&O, sidebars on the unique historical significance of the trail, and loaded with pictures of what you will see as you experience what National Geographic Adventure calls "an American classic."

Also new this year: 10 "Great Little Rides" -- prime out-and-back day trips along the Towpath and the Passage.
